2017 Ducati Panigale 959 Track Bike – 962 Miles – $19,750

This stunning motorcycle was built in-house by Ducati Detroit’s master techs during an era when Ducati Detroit was actively racing the Panigale 959 and Panigale R machines to multiple National Championship victories. Built for one of our top clients who was an Intermediate group track rider, no expenses were spared during this build. The paint job alone was over $3K, using a Lamborghini blue and Ducati’s 1199 Superleggera fluroescent paint, finished in satin clear coat. This motorcycle has never been raced, only used at track days.

The staff is great! I was worried about purchasing a bike from another state but they made it simple. One of the gentleman there was extremely helpful.(Jeff maybe). Bought a shoei and arai helmet here as they are unfortunately one of the few dealers for those helmets locally. The other lingering employees are incredibly arrogant for no reason. I believe his last name was Holloway, needs to put the ego aside when dealing with clients. This is a fantastic dealership that treats their customers well. I purchased a used Ducati from them in December of 2023. I called when they opened on a Saturday morning and had a great conversation with Charles about a used Ducati Supersport I was looking at from their website. I had looked at their reviews on google prior to calling and read a majority of positive reviews. On some of the negative reviews it was good to see that Ducati Detroit did respond with additional information or an apology and request for contact to make it right. Charles and I talked about the Supersport and other motorcycles. I was surprised at his knowledge of the EBR/Buell line which I also own. At some point in the conversation, I realized that his name looked familiar and found out that he was the owner of Ducati Detroit.
Charles and I worked out a deal on the motorcycle and I bought it. He called me on the day that my wife and I were scheduled to pick up the bike and said that he would not be available, but that Kevin would take care of me. When I arrived at the dealership Kevin was polite and took care of all the details that needed to be handled. Every employee that we saw greeted us and asked if we needed anything. The dealership is nice inside and it was neat to see nothing but Ducati’s!
Charles called me several days after I picked up the motorcycle and asked how it went and if I was pleased with the bike. He answered some questions I had about the bike and welcomed me again to the “Ducati Family”. He also had one of their mechanics call me with a question I had about maintenance on my other motorcycle.
I really felt that everyone that I was involved with at the dealership made this a very positive experience for my wife and I.

They helped me unload my trade in (2016 959 Panigale) and loaded my new V4 in my trailer, making sure everything was strapped down nice and safe..

I had issues getting my check from the bank on a Saturday so a lot of time was wasted and Kevin stayed late, well after closing time to get the job done.

This place is amazing. I’ve been here for ladies night and a track riding seminar and to just look at the bikes. Each time I’ve been here it’s been a nice experience. I do not own a Ducati (yet). I ride a Triumph and no one has made me feel bad for being at a Ducati Event and not even owning a Ducati. I have been on the fence about getting a BMW or a Ducati. All my experiences at Ducati of Detroit is what has made me decide that my next bike will be a Ducati. 10/10 cannot recommend this place enough.

Had a string of issues with a used Ducati and the lead mechanic Joe stuck with me through months and months of frustrating problem solving and repairs.

Now the bike is better than it was on the showroom floor.

Not cheap (of course, why would you expect Ducati service to be cheap?) but the quality and service I got here was everything I could want as a customer.

Great experience only rivaled by my experience with BMW of Southeast Michigan in Plymouth.

They have earned the 5 stars. My previous review was a one star as I felt ignored and that they didn’t value my business. Kevin reached out to me and explained his situation and gave me a apology. He also told me the owner was willing to call and apologize As well but I didn’t think that was needed after speaking with Kevin.
A couple weeks later I made the trip to buy a Streetfighter v4 from Kevin and I must say him and Charlie did a great job making it a smooth memorable experience. Kevin helped me get the best rate on my loan and was super cool to deal with. Very happy with my experience. Just know they are very very busy and that is where we had some issues at the start. Just be patient and it’ll be worth it .

Purchased a brand new 22’ streetfighter V4s, akro exhaust, helmet, jacket and gloves a few months ago. I would have given a 5 star review of those purchases. They were friendly, helpful, responsive even offering me espresso which was nice. Then come time for the 600 mile service (which was basically a $480 glorified oil change btw) and the vibe completely has changed. Was told over a week ago to have the bike at their shop at 9:30am, so I take a vacation day to transport the bike 3.5 hrs from Cleveland. 6 hrs later and was still waiting in my truck! Idk I guess I expected more having just purchased a 30k motorcycle and all the gear. Regretting my purchase and it’s only been a few months 😔

I ordered a Panigale V2 Bayliss with Kevin and I couldn't be happier. These guys know their Ducati bikes and were able to give me good guidance if I was making the right call for myself or not. I had a good buying experience purchasing a used bike and new helmet, at good prices. That's why I'm giving 2 stars. Then it goes down hill. I had arranged for the bike to be delivered. The delivery driver backed into my girlfriends brand new leased Explorer and broke the bumper. The dealership promised to take care of it. Then the owner stopped answering or returning my girlfriends calls. Shortly after I received my brand new helmet I asked if I could exchange it for a more expensive one. First, I had sent a couple emails to my salesman who didn't reply over the course of a few days. Then after waiting patiently I just called and spoke to someone else. I was told no for liability reasons. However, there are plenty of other stores that will take back a brand new helmet. So you hit my car. Stopped answering calls about that. And couldn't even reply to my emails? I feel like I was sold the bike so they got their money out of me and then ghosted me. It wasn't until I sent an obviously sarcastic and frustrated email that I received a response. Now I had my eye on a new Scrambler I saw in there when I was buying the used bike. But there's no way I'd buy anything from that dealership again.

Worked with Kevin in sales on the purchase of a pre-owned Supersport online, as they have been very hard to come by in Southern California. He and the entire Ducati Detroit team took the nerves of a remote transaction out of the equation. He and Morgan were very communicative through every step of the way and were willing to work with me on an equitable deal. Since I was having the bike shipped, I needed some help for the pickup and Kevin never batted an eye was more than happy to be there for that. I’m sure they are amazing at selling bikes but they are also genuinely good people! My car broke down on Woodward right outside their shop and people were honking and rushing around me. Where do I start? How about the end... called me last week said repairs complete bike ready to leave, I show up a week later and the bike wasn't ready had to wait 45 minutes for them to roll it out.

Prior to this they wrote me up a 1300 dollar estimate, 600 was for repairs the other 700 was time to write me a better estimate - place is a joke.

Also once I told them I didn't want to pay them to write an estimate, the bill for repairs increased by 50% because they say they forgot to estimate the time to install the part then close the bike back up.

I bought Monster 1200S a few months ago. It was a long distance online transaction. The salesperson's attitude and communication changed after he received my payment. He did not send me the documents for titling as he promised. I had to contact him a few more times to receive them. The same thing happened to the extra key and owner's manual as well. His way of communication was far from respectful, either. If you want the normal respect as a customer and do not want to damage your mental health, you need to avoid them, at least online transactions with them.

I have called 7 other Ducati store around my area here in Chicago to look for this particular Ducati AGV peak v5 helmet and Morgon Lynch was able to help me and sent me photos of the helmet via her personal cell and ship it to me. I went in with my daughter because we have been looking for a Shoei RF - 1200 and had not been able to find anyplace with a selection of sizes. When we called up there they were friendly and helpful so we thought we would give it a shot. Not very willing to give much at all to make a deal compared to other brand motorcycles. Finance deals not really competitive at all compared to what other brands of motorcycles offer. A couple very nice motorcycles. Just don't look to any kind good deal. Msrp is about what they want to get.

I was riding by and seen all the bikes out. Decided to stop and look at a couple. Wasnt expecting such a warm welcome. The sales staff were not pushy. They seemed more than happy to help with my questions. Very good customer service.

Charlie and the team at Ducati Detroit are top notch.

A mechanical issue on my Monster left me stranded and Connor was there to pick the bike up in 15 minutes. I highly recommend purchasing a bike, servicing your Ducati, and interfacing with their team.

This is the one and only Ducati dealership in the metro Detroit area. Good people here to help you get in to the new or used bike of your dreams. I purchased a Ducati cafe street racer a couple of years back and owned it for a while before having to get rid of it- mainly due to storage issues. The bike was amazing, stylish and moved quick. It was a head turner and I enjoyed driving it down the local streets of Royal Oak. I never owned prior to purchasing this vehicle but it was fairly easy to learn, I hopped right onto it and drove around the neighborhood after watching some YouTube videos. Definitely would recommend taking a course beforehand or getting a cheap used bike because I dropped it the first week. The Ducati service shop took care of my damage in a timely fashion and had me back on riding within a day or so. I purchase my helmet from here too, which they gave me a good deal for along with the bike.

I came all the way down from Toronto to look at the Ducati Streetfighter V4S launch and it was absolutely worth the drive! The launch was absolutely amazing! The dealership and the service is absolutely amazing! Well worth the 4+ hour long drive.

I recently purchased a new bike from here and have now dealt with at least half the the staff & owner in a variety of transactions. I also used to have a M900 where I had some parts/service history here from a few years back. Charlie, Kevin, Morgan, Chris, and Connor have all been very helpful, proactive, and knowledgeable. I know there is additional staff to thank here for contributing to a well run organization- but haven’t met them yet! I’ve taken three days off work this week just to rack up some miles and it’s time to hit the road again.... Thanks everyone for the great bike and service!

My husband and I visited Ducati Detroit to explore purchasing a used Monster M696 to compliment our current bikes. Charlie Knoll was very knowledgeable and helpful. His encouragement to test ride distinctly different models gave us insight into several Ducati riding experiences. We ended up purchasing the 696, then returned to purchase a Scrambler as well. We used Charlie as a sounding board and with his feedback, decided to buy another Monster (instead of the Scrambler). My husbands ride home confirmed the new M797 was the right choice.

We have a small issue with our M696 which Charlie willingly and quickly organized resolution. We are impressed with the energy and enthusiasm of all the employees of Ducati Detroit. They gave use a great purchase experience.

I have now purchased 3 motorcycles, a couple helmets,and some gear from Ducati Detroit over the last 2 and a half years. I truly believe that Charlie, Kevin, Connor and the rest of the Ducati Detroit staff are the best in the world. I have purchased motorcycles in the past, 4 wheelers, side by sides from many other dealerships and none of them hold a candle to the service, professionalism, and respect you get from the staff at Ducati Detroit. Charlie is awesome, this place is great. I will highly recommend this dealership for your motorcycle needs. I would suggest you to ignore the bad reviews and walk in yourself to experience the Italian miracle machine and wonderful management. There is no reason for this place to be not recommended highly. I have been shopping around but have found this place acing in all segments of customer service.

Purchased a 2019 Monster 821. The entire process was so smooth. I worked with Charles, he was very patient and super knowledgeable about the motorcycle as well as the purchasing process. My whole paperwork process went very smooth. The entire staff was super warm and friendly. Even during the test drive they explained me all my questions and made me understand the technical aspects. The entire facility has class and some fancy motorcycles. They have a Desmosedicci RR, I mean that’s a motogp bike ! again, great experience. I would say even if you don’t have a endorsement, go to the shop enjoy the machines, talk with the staff... it will be a good experience!

Pay attention to your paperwork folks...they will ‘pack’ you if you let them (sorry 650ib they got you!!) They live off their reputation as ‘the place to go’ for a ducati in the US. But in all honesty...you can and will get a better deal (like I did) from your local dealer. I got my dream bike just the way I wanted it, for the price I wanted...at Coleman Powersports.

I bought a 2016 Panigale with 3k mi from Kevin at a steal and I love the bike. These guy are very friendly and also take care of anything you need. I have been having a little bit of trouble with my paperwork because I ordered it out of state and this is my first vehicle but Charles has been guiding me through this process since day one and has been very cooperative and patient with me even though they are very busy regularly. I will tell you that you'll know when their busy, but they are still very friendly and cooperative. I love my bike and I have already put about 5k miles on it ing about 2 months and it's great and still makes me smile. I have never had to wait long for someone to answer the phone and I can say these guys are better then every other dealership that I've been to because they are nice, they listen to what you say, they help with what you need help with, and they have great quality pre-owned bikes. I don't know about you but that's hard to come by we either get screwed or treated like garbage or even both like at Iron Pony but here, I don't see games, I see my next bike. I haven't been inside but I have had many interactions with them.

Kevin, Charlie and the team at Ducati Detroit made my purchase of a Ducati Monster 1200 S feel like an initiation into a private club. From my first contact to driving away from the dealership I felt as if my happiness was their ultimate goal. The attention to detail in every aspect of the motorcycle selection and proper setup was taken care of with expertise . I bought a new Jacket and helmet and they let me leave my old stuff in their back room till I could come back and pick it up. Unfortunately I left my keys to my company car in the Jacket and didn’t realize it till I was home. I left a message on their shop phone and got a text at 6:30 am Sunday. Charlie had run up to the shop got my keys and left them where I could find them.
Sometimes you’ll be referred to as brother in conversations but these guys make that term real. I sell Cadillacs for a living and we survive on the ability to make a Cadillac purchase experience special. Ducati Detroit made my purchase experience truly amazing.

First of all I Think everyone in the store are very friendly people, Charlie has helped me out and Connor in service was very helpful and honest. Having that being said, I think they are mostly there to make money. My first visit I test rode a few bikes. Which seemed to annoy them.. I was letting a bike warm up (1299) and One of the employees came out and kind of scolded me and said I shouldn't let it just sit and run. (even though it was a completely cold bike).

My second visit I went in to buy some accessories. I chose my part and went to order the part. One of the employees went to the back and ended up finding the part I was looking for. AWESOME but after I left I looked at the bag which had a used sticker on it with a marked down price ( I was charged full price). The parts were slightly scratched and it had stock bolts inside which ended up not fitting and I had to use one of my own bolts.

I think these guys judge based on your age and looks and try to pull what they can. Very well considering not going back here

Charlie Knoll and his team at Ducati Detroit made my purchasing experience fun, easy and informative. From the moment I walked into the dealership all the way through finalizing signatures, they were engaging and attentive. It is clear that they are passionate about motorcycles and growing the motorcycle community here in Detroit. He invited my friends and I to a ladies night that was so much fun, he helped arrange a test drive in Dallas while I was working to help confirm my choice, and in every way went above/beyond. Charlie answered every question I threw his way over the course of this process, and boy did I ask a lot!

The only surprise thrown my way during the process was an unveiling of my gorgeous 2019 x diavel s. (Pretty sure the prettiest xdiavel in Michigan.)

Kudos to an amazing team - from the ladies at the front desk, to the mechanics in service and of course Charlie and Kevin. There is no doubt in my mind, the rest of my Ducati's will come from Charlie and the Ducati Detroit team.

Ducati Detroit sets the gold standard for motorcycle dealerships. Customers are made to feel like much more than customers...more like a part of the Ducati family. Problems sometimes happen with anything mechanical but they are handled with a speed and professionalism. This dealership is a game changer...I only wish my car dealer was half as good.

Beautiful store, friendly associates, emphasis on sales less inventory for chemicals, parts, ect, saw aftermarket parts on bikes off the floor if you are looking for that great.

Edit: I thought your store was awesome! Like you said, I got a tee shirt. I want my reviews to be helpful. If someone was looking to buy a bike then I would say for sure that's the place. If they wanted materials for their own maintenance based on space allotment I would say probably low selection Nothing wrong with that!

Had an awesome experience with Charlie Knoll and his team at Ducati Detroit. Couldn't be happier with the purchase and help that I received. From the thorough overview and information of the motorcycle itself, all the way down to the fair trade-in price and help with finding an insurer. Another thing I want to add, is this was quite possibly the quickest financing and paperwork scenario I've ever been in and that, in itself, is amazing. I will be back to purchase another bike in the near future!! Please do not hesitate visiting this dealership, the second you go in you are greeted with a friendly welcome.
