2015 Ducati 899 Panigale Street Bike

Dean’s 2015 899 Panigale

One of our very good customers, Dean S. wanted an 899 Panigale for some normal street riding, but he didn’t want it to look like anyone else’s.  We began working on a sketch for his custom paint job, disassembled his bodywork and sent it for paint.  While the bodywork was being painted, our technicians began installing some of his aftermarket goodies. Nothing too crazy, but just enough to give a nice increase in comfort and performance on an already spectacular machine.

Aftermarket Parts Installed:

  • Akropovic Racing Full Exhaust System
  • MWR Race Air Filter
  • Rexxer ECU Reflash
  • Superlite RS7 520 Conversion Sprockets
  • DID ERV3 520 Conversion Chain
  • Ducati Performance Lightweight Generator
  • Competition Werkes Integrated Tail Light
  • Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator
  • Ducati Performance Carbon Fiber Shock Cover
  • Woodcraft Technologies Adjustable Rearsets
  • Panigale Spacers Throttle Kit
  • CRG Carbon Fiber Brake and Clutch Levers

There is no denying that the addition of the Akropovic full exhaust system not only looks nice, but also adds a throaty growl that is perfectly matched for the Panigale.  Combining the exhaust with the MWR air filter dramatically increases airflow and in turn, horsepower.  We often use Rexxer for ECU reflash files that are built dependent upon performance upgrades and, once installed, will smooth out the air/fuel ratio and pull together all the upgrades for optimal performance.  We also installed the DID ERV3 chain and Superlite RS7 front and rear sprockets, converting it to a 520 pitch to reduce weight and give it a little more pep off the line.  Another item that we’ve started installing on most of the Panigale’s that come through the dealership is the Panigale Spacers Throttle Kit, which reduces the slop in the throttle, an almost necessary upgrade for under $30.

We installed the Competition Werkes integrated tail light and fender eliminator, which many of our customers decide to use as well because it creates a much cleaner look on the rear end of the bike. After trying out a couple of different brands of rearsets, Dean decided on the Woodcraft Technologies adjustable kit, which allowed him to try multiple settings until he found the most comfortable position for his personal riding style.  We use many of the Woodcraft parts on our bikes as the quality is very high, they are machined here in the United States by a former professional racer and are priced affordably.  Who doesn’t love carbon fiber, so we installed the CRG carbon levers and a couple of Ducati Performance carbon pieces to give it an extra special pop.

We were pretty happy with how Dean’s 899 Panigale looked once completed and it definitely turns heads while he is out riding. Some of the parts listed above have been added since these pictures were taken, scroll down for the full gallery.

2015 Ducati 899 Senna Replica

Sean’s 2015 899 Panigale Senna Replica

Long-time customer and track day rider, Sean M. wanted an 899 Panigale track bike that would also turn heads.  In 2014, Ducati released the 1199 Panigale S Senna alongside the Senna Foundation as a tribute to Ayrton Senna.  Ayrton was one of Brazil’s most successful F1 drivers and tragically lost his life during a race in 1994.  Only 161 models were produced and were only released in Brazil.  Sean, like many other Ducatisti, longed after this bike and just was not able to get it here in the States.  That was when we decided to help Sean with building his own replica. The bodywork was painted and our technicians began the task of his track bike build.

Aftermarket Parts Installed:

  • SharkSkinz Race Bodywork
  • Termignoni Slip-on Exhaust System
  • Carbonvani Exhaust Heat Shield
  • MWR Race Air Filter
  • Rexxer ECU Reflash
  • Ducati Performance Magnesium 2 Piece Clutch Cover
  • Renthal Clip-ons
  • MWR Intake and Fairing Stay Kit
  • Ducati Performance Oversized Windscreen
  • Cox Radiator and Oil Guards
  • Superlite RS7 520 Conversion Sprockets
  • DID ERV3 520 Conversion Chain
  • Vesra Brake Pads
  • Ducati Performance Lightweight Generator
  • CNC Billet Aluminum Slave Cylinder
  • Ducati Performance Carbon Fiber Shock Cover
  • Woodcraft Technologies Adjustable Rearsets with Folding Pegs
  • Panigale Spacers Throttle Kit
  • CRG Carbon Fiber Folding Brake and Clutch Levers
  • Bike Sports Development Blip Box Pro
  • AIM Solo Lap Timer

The SharkSkinz race bodywork kit is by far, one of the best fitting and performing aftermarket sets of track bodywork you can get.  The craftsmanship is of very high quality, crashes well and is made here in the United States.

To date, this has been one of our most popular builds and we continue to get image shares of this bike all over our social media accounts.  There is no doubt that Sean’s 899 Panigale Senna Replica is a beautiful machine. 2015 Ducati Monster 1200S

Mike’s 2015 Monster 1200S

When it came time for Mike to upgrade to a new motorcycle, he wanted something that would be fun to cruise around town on, but also something he could throw into the corner at the track.  After coming off a Diavel, he was looking for something that would have the same amount of horsepower performance but that could be a little more agile; The Monster 1200S was the perfect pairing.

Aftermarket Parts Installed:

  • Akropovic Titanium Exhaust Headers
  • Akropovic Titanium Exhaust Canister
  • Ducati Performance Sport Air Filter
  • Rexxer ECU Reflash
  • Superlite RS7 520 Conversion Quick Change Sprockets
  • DID ERV3 520 Conversion Chain
  • Marchesini 10 Spoke Mag Wheels
  • Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator
  • Competition Werkes Integrated Taillight
  • Woodcraft Technologies Riser Clip-ons with Long Bars
  • Ducati Performance Racing Levers
  • Ducati Performance LED Turn Signals
  • Ducati Performance Sprocket Cover
  • Rizoma Brake and Clutch Fluid Reservoirs
  • Shift Tech Carbon Fiber Windscreen
  • Shift Tech Carbon Fiber Hugger
  • Shift Tech Carbon Fiber Chain Guard
  • Heal Tech Quick Shift

The Akropovic full exhaust system unleashes the roar of the Ducati 1198cc Testastretta 11° DS twin-engine, which increases horsepower and performance.  Combining the exhaust with the Ducati Performance air filter increases airflow and in turn, horsepower.  We often use Rexxer for ECU reflash files that are built dependent upon performance upgrades and once installed will smooth out the air/fuel ratio and pull together all the upgrades for optimal performance.  We also installed the DID ERV3 chain and Superlite RS7 front and rear sprockets, converting it to a 520 pitch to reduce weight and give the Monster a bit more get up and go.  He has since added the Heal Tech Quick Shift module, which allowed him to have clutchless shifting in the Monster, as it did not come standard. The setup and installation were a breeze.

Cosmetic improvements sometimes double for performance, like the Marchesini 10 Spoke Magnesium wheels that were swapped out for the original wheels, drastically reducing rotating mass which improves cornering and braking.  Like most of our customers, we installed the Competition Werkes integrated tail light and fender eliminator, which are not only affordable but also pair nicely with most Ducati models to clean up the rear tail section of the motorcycle. Mike decided to also swap out the turn signals for Ducati Performance LED signals and a handful of carbon fiber goodies from Shift Tech to give his Monster an extra pop of sexy.

There is no denying that Mike’s Monster 1200S is a real showstopper. He gets attention and second glances everywhere he rides. Some of the parts listed above have been added since these pictures were taken, scroll down for the full gallery.

2016 Ducati 1299 Panigale S Streetfighter

Jim’s 1299 Panigale S Streetfighter

Jim C. enjoys a good bike build and this is the most recent project he asked us to assist him with creating.  We’ve previously completed a Monster 1200 and Multistrada Tricolore build for him. You have probably seen pictures of it floating around or even here at the dealership.  Jim wanted to start doing some trackdays with his fellow riders, but wasn’t comfortable with the body positioning of the stock Panigale.  What began was a project to make Panigale meet Streetfighter. We dreamt up the custom paint scheme and disassembly began!

Aftermarket Parts Installed:

  • Akropovic Full Titanium Race Exhaust
  • Motacc Handlebar Conversion Kit
  • LighTech Clutch Cover
  • LighTech Engine Case Cover
  • Ducati Performance Racing Brake and Clutch Lever
  • Ducati Performance Brake and Clutch Fluid Reservoirs
  • Ducati Performance Radiator Guard
  • Panigale Spacers
  • CNC Billet Clutch Slave Cylinder
  • Rizoma Adjustable Rearsets
  • Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator
  • Competition Werkes Integrated Taillight
  • Woodcraft Technologies Axle Sliders
  • Shift Tech Mirror Block Off Plates
  • Ducabike Right Switch Assembly

To date, the only company making a handlebar conversion kit for the Panigale is Motacc out of Europe. We have now installed two of these very high quality kits for our customers. There is some slight modification required to allow for proper fitment of the fairing, brake lines, as well as brake and clutch fluid reservoirs, so we opted to install Ducati Performance reservoirs while it was disassembled.

2018 Ducati 959 “Tiffany” Ducati Detroit and Co.

Molly’s 2018 959 Panigale “Tiffany” Ducati Detroit and Co.

One of Ducati Detroit’s most influential female riders and brand ambassadors, Molly F., wanted something special that basically said: “I’m formal but I’m also here to party!”  Molly is the type of woman that all women wish they were; Meaning she does it her way and if you don’t like it then Fu*k You!   Molly started with her first Ducati being a custom Scrambler flat track pro. She enjoyed this bike as her daily rider until we convinced her to bring it to the track…  That’s all it took for Molly to become infatuated with track days and more track specific bikes!  Molly then started the process of purchasing and designing a bike that would become her primary track bike, but also something she could ride on the street.  Molly’s bike was a unique project that led Ducati Detroit’s staff on the hunt for something that wasreally going to set this bike apart from all the rest.
